API SN plus was developed as a technical upgrade of API SN with respect to low speed pre- ignition (LSPI). Development of Gasoline engines continued with additional requirements in areas such as engine and chain wear performance, corrosion protection,emission system compatibility, oxidation stability, deposit control, protection from sludge and varnish. This has necessitated the development of API SP oils. Goodyear Groove API SP 5W20/5W30/5W40 oils are made of fully synthetic base oils and technologically superior class of additives to provide the highest quality to the user.
